III.DWG / DXF file compatibility
DWG read/write engine built by the manufacturer — no external conversion, no third-party components — verified against a corpus of real drawings from Chilean public services:
Native in R2000, R2004, R2010, R2013 and R2018 — the resulting file preserves the unedited original content byte for byte (data and metadata integrity without conversion). Add, modify and delete entities in-place while preserving handles and the seed (HANDSEED)

Integrity verification — validated against real AutoCAD®: DWG writing is checked with the 31-file validation kit across the 5 versions (add, cross downsave, delete, in-place modify, xref attach/detach, native linetype, associative dimension), which opens clean 31/31 in AutoCAD® 2027, and with the QSAVE cycle (AutoCAD® opens our file, re-saves it with its own encoder, and our reader re-reads it with the exact census — 8/8 round-trip). In addition, a regression suite of over 1,200 tests over real drawings (SERVIU, municipalities). Audit evidence is archived with the delivery.

IV.2D drawing and editing capabilities
Drawing: line, polyline, circle, arc, text, spline, ellipse, hatching (HATCH); object snap (vertices and centers); distance and area measurement.
Layers and linetypes: full management (visibility, color, creation) with native writing of the layer table and per-entity linetypes (DASHED, HIDDEN, CENTER) into the DWG.
Blocks: reading and expansion of blocks and inserts (INSERT / MINSERT) with full transformation; dimensions (DIMENSION), hatches (HATCH), splines and ellipses; blocks with states (per-state variants) and a 2D parts library.
External references (Xref): attach, reload, unload and detach external references, managing the file dependency list.
Layouts (paper space): sheets written as real Layout tabs, with configurable paper size (A4–A0 or custom) and re-editable dimensions.
Parametric sketch solver: geometric constraint engine (coincident, parallel, perpendicular, tangent, radius, point-on-line and more — 14 types) with least-squares solving and degrees-of-freedom diagnostics, accessible from the sketch module and via API.
Annotation: single-line and multiline text (MTEXT) with styles; markup layer with DXF export.
Printing and plotting: vector PDF output to scale; plotting with named pen tables (monochrome, architecture, grayscale, user) and import of real .CTB files with per-pen weight and color.
V.Automation and command line v2026.16
SpiralScript: built-in LISP-style routine engine (syntax compatible with the industry standard: defun, entmake, command) for automating drawing tasks.
Command line with configurable aliases and history; customizable toolbars.

SpiralCad Works
Normative QA review of drawings (UTM georeferencing, layers, annotation, scales); TIN surfaces, contour lines and cut/fill quantities with calculation report and signable DXF drawing; LandXML 1.2.
BIM / interoperability
IFC4 export and import — aligned with the Chilean MOP openBIM mandate; model validation and quantity take-off (QTO).
SpiralCad 3D
3D architectural editor included in the same delivery: wall detection from the 2D drawing, template-based modeling (studio, two bedrooms, house with garden), roof plan with valleys and rainwater, native re-editable dimensions, and the DWG sheet set for the municipal permit.
3D model & AI render
2D→3D extrusion of the drawing, virtual walkthrough, and AI-assisted architectural rendering (photo-real beauty pass with ControlNet).
Collaboration
Collaborative 3D model editing across sessions: version history with restore, live sync and CRDT collaborative mode with presence and offline work.
Municipal integration
Module embeddable in digital records systems (document management, advanced electronic signature, version traceability) — in operation in Chilean municipalities.
